TO ALL SENIOR WILDCATS FROM WEBMASTER DAVE:
Any Senior wishing copies of game film for
the 2007 and 2008 season can obtain them from Dave Snead. To get an entire set
or to request specific games please provide blank DVD-R or DVD+R media, one each
for the games requested. Place the blanks in an envelope with your name and the
games requested. NO VERBAL REQUESTS will be accepted. Put your name,
jersey number, date of request and list of games requested on the outside of the
envelope along with one blank DVD for each game in the envelope and give this to
me ONLY. Don’t hand it to a coach or Sean and tell them to get it to me. I will
be available after practice Tuesday through Thursday every week or anytime you
see me which is a lot.
Please remember that these games are
copyright protected and not to be shared with anyone outside our team. They are
for your use only for distribution to college recruiters.
If any of you need help developing a
highlight video please let me know. If enough players want help developing their
own videos I will set a time to meet with all interested players to teach you
how to do it. Highlight videos are VERY easy to put together, just time
consuming. I will walk each of you through the process and help you as I can.
In addition we are offering each player
their own unique website for use in the college recruiting process. You can
develop a single page website with your football resume including photos and
video clip as well as personal information and anything you feel would be of
interest to the college you are trying to play for. I will develop a standard
player template and put the page together for you. All you will need to do is
provide me with content. An example of this will be available soon. You would
get your own website with unique URL and email address. You will be able to
administer your email account online since the address will be web based. We can
also have any email coming into that account forwarded to your normal address to
alert you to contact immediately. You could direct recruiter’s to this site
which would have the address...

Please let me know if you are interested in
your own site. And don’t forget to clean up any “MySpace” type sites that you
have online. If you are trying to get recruited I can guarantee you that Coaches
are running searches for your name online. If you don’t want your parents to see
it then I can assure you that you don’t want a coach to either. Time to clean up
your act! The world is watching. Good luck.
PS...I will be accepting game film requests
from Sophomore and Junior players at the end of the season. The website offer
will be made available to Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors at that time too.
Nobody will be left out, I just don’t have the time for 100 player requests
during this season.

ADDITIONAL RECRUITING HELP SECTION
I will be adding forms, college links and other helpful information on a regular
basis starting now. Keep checking the site for information, tools and tips
regarding the college football recruitment process. You can start by registering
with the NCAA Clearinghouse to throw your name into the hat as interested in
taking football to the next level.
YOU MUST REGISTER WITH THE NCAA CLEARING HOUSE - COLLEGE SPORTS RECRUITING
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is the governing body of
just about all College Sport. Your first step towards an Athletic Scholarship is
registering with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Student-Athletes who want to compete at Collegiate level must lodge a form
with the NCAA clearinghouse. This can all be done online. You must register and you must qualify, if you don't you will
not be eligible to play or practice during your college freshman year.
Any MSHS Student can Email me for free advice on how to register.
Registration with the NCAA clearinghouse is a one-time fee of $50 US.
The link to NCAA Clearinghouse has certificate errors right now so I won't
supply the link until its fixed. Until that happens you can get important
information by
following this link to the main NCAA Eligibility and Recruiting page.
You can also start filling out the standard forms posted at the college
website indicating that you have an interest in playing football for their program.
This form invites requests for DVD highlights and unedited game film. The links have been posted at the bottom of the website for almost a year but I
will list them again on this page. These are the major conferences on the west
coast. A complete list is available through the NCAA website.
