Mount Si athletes make postseason all-league lists, plus other news on this Veteran’s Day…
Good Friday morning. It is Veteran’s Day, so please take time to honor those in the military who have, or are currently, serving for our country and helping protect our freedoms.

We begin this morning with a look at postseason recognition in local high school sports.

The KingCo Conference late yesterday released postseason honors for their 4A schools, and Mount Si athletes from three different sports were recognized for their play on the field this season.

The Wildcat football team received a solid amount of recognition on the all-league lists. On offense, receivers Jesiah Irish (first team), a junior, and Eric Daniels (second team), a senior, earned nods at that position, along with junior offensive guard Collin Flesch, who received a second-team honor. Defensively, senior linebacker Jack Weidenbach earned a first-team All-League nod at the inside linebacker position, while senior defensive end Brennan Dalgleish and senior safety Carter McFadden received second-team honors at those positions.

Honorable mentions went to seniors Max Bonda (running back), Carson Corra (cornerback) and Justin “JuJu” Lutz (outside linebacker) along with junior Michael Collins (offensive tackle).

Mount Si coach Charlie Kinnune is pleased. “As a fifth place finisher in our league and the number four offense and number five defense, we are well represented,” he said by email to the SVSJ.
MSHS Cat Paw Delivery of Sock Donation to Mamma's Hands - Photo Below
Hello, Boosters (and Lianne from Mamma’s Hands).

As you might remember, the merchandise team purchased socks and beanies this year from YourCitySports, a company that provides a 1:1 match of new socks for homeless charities and outreach groups. We have 280 pairs of socks to donate to Mamma’s Hands, a local charity that provides qualified services in the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas.

Part of the agreement of donation is that we have a photo capturing the hand-off from our booster club to the charity.

Thank you to the following for helping us with the sock hand-off this past Friday afternoon:
Meg, Gregg, and Max Bonda, Alex Rendon, Carter McFadden, Jen and Alex Richards, Nicole and John Lang and Gale Kamp

Mamma’s Hands is grateful for our efforts in the sock donations. Those in attendance learned more about this charity and how they help families (mothers and children) from all over, make significant life choices and positive changes.

Our efforts DO make a difference!

Cheers,  Jill Nye
